I just installed 4x1GB from 18004Memory.com in my new G5. $365 total.
Whenever someone asks about what kind of memory to buy, a bunch of
people recommend some name brand or other (usually Crucial or
Kingston). But the truth is that RAM factories cost millions of
dollars to set up, and there are no knock-off RAM chips run by some
guy in his living room. Crucial and Kingston get their RAM from the
same factories.
As long as it has a lifetime warranty, if the cheap stuff works at
first - meaning it passes the test - it's not likely to go bad.
