Subject: Using Pedal to Star/Stop Recording
Message #189511
Hi all, I've followed this board for several months, but this is my first entry. . . i'd apppreciate any ideas. With my luck, the answer is probably right in front of me! I have two set ups and would like to know if it is possible to use something other than keyboard/mouse to start/stop recording. A simple foot pedal would be ideal. I use logic quite a bit to record acoustic guitar/vocals and find it terribly inefficient to hit record, then move back and rush to get my self set up to play. Using a condenser mic, one needs to be a good bit away from the fans on the computer . . . My first set up is dual 2.5 using a M-Audio MobilePre and a Fatar SL-161 keyboard My second set-up is a 1.5 PBook G-4 using a MOTU 828mkII and M-Audio Radium 49. Oh, and I'm on Logic 7.1 once UPS arrives! 7.01 right now. Thanks all. I think i've scoured every manual i can find as well as the archives, but can't find anything.
