I click on the choose button, select a font from the window that opens up, and voila, things change. I tested this with the score and the Text Styles window open. Both update instantly. As I mentioned in a post to Pete, I am new to this function. Your post inspired me to check it out. I wish I could tell you why it works here and not there. Doug
