Am on PC with 5.5 now and have been for some time. Basically you wish to place all your trust in the digital medium for long term preservation then be my guest & suffer the consequences. I am extremely happy with Logic but i have backup contingencies. Now time seems to be short in your world so i wont babble on. You are getting advice here from people that have been using Logic for quite some time. Also i beg to differ on the ability of Sonar or any program to know what the inside of any synth plugged straight in. Even sounddiver is not that extensive. You have probably had some luck with the synths you have been using. My experience is not negative but experience! You will see by the forums traffic that just plugging & playing isnt so straight forward as you expect it to be. All the best Richard
