This is a reply to #178736.
Hi Anthony, You wrote: > Hey Kamm! Thanks for the reply. I came across that site the > other night and was wondering what environment toolkit did. > Can I use that to import? I was actually referring to the environments that many users have submitted. Where they have already setup the environment - patches; effects controls; etc.. I downloaded one for the Yamaha MU80 that seems rather complete. I'm not familiar with toolkit. Maybe it will help you create your own environments for each synth. What I've done is create a multi instrument and then for each channel you can call up an editor (don't remember the name off hand, but I think it is from the View menu) and from there you select a bank (up to 15 banks), once you've selected a bank you can paste your patch names into that bank if you have copied them to the clipboard from a text editor. Just include one patch name on a line with up to 128 lines. Insert blank lines for any patch that does not contain an actual voice. You may have to edit the controller messages that are sent out for each bank. There is a different editor for that. It isn't easy, but it isn't exactly hard either. If I think about it while I'm using Logic, I'll find out the name of the editor and give more details in a future posting. Have fun! Kamm
