So I took Stefan's advice and disabled Quartz extreme by using Terminal. I downloaded the app to establish that Quartz was off. It hasn't made any difference. Waves plug-ins seem to automatically cause the scroll bar crash but so do others. A friend and experienced logic user suggested a good workaround - just assign scroll bars to key commands - but it's just remebering not to touch the dreaded bars. And not a very dignified solution for a top of the range Apple product. I had a different nasty crash yesterday - a crash when saving an arrangement which corrupted the actual Logic File. So I lost about 2 hours work getting back from my previously saved version. Ho hum - preparing for another day of endless crashes and weirdness. Mark Russell, London, UK
