I've tried using a H&K Red box, either through a Mackie board's mic pres, and also straight in balanced to my MOTU 2048 mkII, but that didn't really help with the noise problem. I'm guessing, as with real amps, a noise gate might be the answer, but I haven't found settings for Logic's noise suppressor that are satisfactory. Eric
