Well, to be fair, Folders don't "blow" but Logic Folders have a very different methodology and use than other application's folders. For example, you can use a folder as a "poor man's ReCycle" by hacking up an audio file, packing it into a folder, and then looping, moving, editing, etc. a folder. It's not just an organizational tool. Personally, I've always preferred the "Cubase VST Style" folders which are similar, but have disclosure triangles, so you can expand folders on the same Arrange. I think it was Mr. Pitcairn who suggested that this would be better served as a new track class, than an added functionality of the current Folder class. Either way, I'd like to see it in Logic. > I was really hoping Logic 7 woiuld have some sort > of Protools like multi-take per track where you could store all of the > tracks > inplace and just select which one you wanted. > Absolutely. I wish for this as well. I don't know if you can in Pro Tools (I know you can NOT in DP) but in Cubase, you can view and edit all your Takes at once. To me, that's ideal--the best way to comp the perfect take.
