Apparently you can tell that by looking at whether the plugins are
separate processes from the OSX process list. Because if they are just
threads within Logic, they'll be sharing the same 2GB chunk, but if
they're processes, they get their own.
I have neither a Mac or Logic at hand right now (I'm investigating
moving to it, which is why I'm asking this), so I can't test this, but
I'd be grateful if someone could check that out and report the
results.
In the PC/VST world it seems to be the norm that plugins are threads.
