Hey Tim,
This is the coolest little trick I have heard of for quite some time. For me
this overcomes a problem I have with some VST's and AU's: The damn
interfaces are too small if you have your monitor set at high resolution
like I like to. A couple of pointers though:
1 You said you turn on the trick by pressing " apple, alt, and
8=." The
equal sign should not be pressed, though on a PowerBook your + key share
real estate with the = key. I corrected the instruction in my quote above.
2. To scroll around your magnified view, hold your left mouse button down
and mouse around. This is very intuitive: it took me about 5 seconds to
figure this out
3. Bonus tip: The minimum magnification you can go to is the default
magnification. In other words, the minus key will not work until after you
have magnified the screen a bit.
4. Bonus tip #2: This little tip works in anything, not just Logic. At least
in OS X. I don't know about OS 9. Nice one, Apple!
