Consider something else.
The EMIs are only USB1, therefor hogging the CPU quite a bit more than
modern interfaces.
Also, the plugs aren't symmetric (but you may not need symmetric lines for a
card in that range).
Converters IMO sound good, but there's better things on the market.

How many ins and outs do you exactly need?
6 ins usually aren't enough to properly record a drumset, so all one could
do is, say, route some synths into it (well yes, there's other purposes for
sure, but I wouldn't happen to know which).
In case 4 Ins are enough I'd consider something líke the M-Audio
Quattro
USB - at least something not using outdated hardware.
