Subject: Midi features missing from ProTools
Message #169584
I'm a Logic Pro user, and was trying to come up with a list of MIDI only features that Logic has that ProTools doesn't, for a friend who has a Digi 002 and PT LE, but only wants to do midi. An example of 1 would be the ability to create ritards or accelerandos. Instantly easier to do in Logic by setting a beginning tempo, ending tempo and curve. In PT, you have to, on your own, assign different tempos to every beat or part of the beat. I used to know the differences when I owned PT LE with my Digi 001, but I sold it a while back, and can't remember the MIDI differences that turned me off to using it, and I'd like to advise my friend correctly and not tell him something untrue. What else can you come up with? Steve
