Thank you! That kind of works, but not fully. I find that regardless
of which tracks are armed MIDI channels 1 and 2 get split between the
first two armed tracks and other MIDI channels are recorded on the
selected track. That is, it doesn't split any more than two ways, and
even then not to the MIDI channel numbers of the tracks. I'm on 6.4.2
- what are you on?
I've a feeling that this is one of those things that is too quirky in
Logic and I'll have to drop the idea. It's a bit if a clunky old way
to multi-track record MIDI info anyway.
I suggest they make it so that you can cable any MIDI into any armed
object and expect it to be recorded on one of that object's tracks.
Now that would be intuitive. If they had to drop the idea that
unselected tracks do not make any sound I wouldn't be complaining. In
fact that would be a bonus.
