Subject: Live multi-channel MIDI recording
Message #167662
Hi guys, Sorry if it's been covered a zillion times before, but I really need to help a mate quickly get around in this. First, am I correct in my assumption one can't MIDI record into 2 tracks simultaneously? If so, will this be ever fixed? Next, if the first assumption is true, let's say we have the following: 2 players have a jem session from 2 different keyboards, which gets recorded on a single track of a multi-channel instrument. AFAIU, the data will be rechannelized and recorded as a MIDI chaos to one channel, so the actual question is: is there a way to forse Logic to record MIDI datta from both keyboards independantly provided they are set to play on different channels (setting the channel parameter to "all" will still make them interfere with each other AFAIU, no?)? Is this at all possible? Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Best, Andy
