1) I would like Logic to have a seamless means to compare reference
mixes to my Logic mixes. I would like to have a dedicated library
of reference mixes on my hard drive, and have an integrated way to
quickly refer to any given mix, other than having to add it to my
audio window (which requires that I actually manage the darn audio
files when I do things like "delete unused" and optimize files).
It
would be particularly cool if we could inform Logic of the folder
containing reference mixes, and have an easy way to see that library
and play it from a small, easy-to-access window.
2) Audio Editor - the "ch" parameter where you pick the output
object to play through is absurdly unintuitive. Please change this
already!
3) Please put separate L and R panners on stereo output objects!
I've even seen complaints of this in Mix magazine.
4) Dedicated headphone mix routing schemes. (Ok, that one is
straight out of Mix magazine.)
5) Better note-taking tools within the program.
6) Bouncing - when bouncing down output objects to conserve
resourcesn (e.g., several electric guitar tracks going out of stereo
outs 5 & 6), it will not include the sends from those guitars which
happen to be going to a different output pair (because those returns
are being shared/sent to from various different instruments). This
makes for a real pain. Wouldn't it be great if the Bounce window
gave us the option of including any fx returns that are *sent to* by
my guitar tracks. Obviously, this would require some intelligence
on Logic's part, but it would be so fricking great. As it stands,
this whole process takes way too much time and effort. It's
frustrating.
Thanks,
David
