When the display is blank at power-up, the firmware is gone. In that case click "Write Firmware" in Logic's Control Surface Setup window. It will instruct you to power up the Logic Control with some buttons held down. If you still get errors, please switch off all other MIDI equipment. It might disturb the upload process, as the bootloader is very picky. If this still doesn't work, please contact Emagic support, where you can get a Standard MIDi file which you can send directly.
