Subject: Weird midi problem
Message #167606
Hi, I've been using logic live for about 8 years with great result and very few bugs (something like 400 shows). Recently I started to have weird behavior: Randomly the midi stop (I use only midi for live) and the computer crash (that was with a G3 266, logic 4.6 on OS9 and a MTPII) So after trying all new cables, other versions of logic (4.7, 4.8) I decided to try with a unitor 8. Same problem appening randomly (something like it stop playing after a one hour set or after 15min...) So since the computer was old I bought a powerbook 867 and I start using OSX with logic 6.4.2 and the unitor. Guess what after playing a full night with no problems I just experience the same f#$% problem the second night, except the computer don't crash. At some point the midi communication with all the modules stop but the "bar meter" continue to roll and no sounds come from any of my modules (korg, roland and K2000) If I stop and immediately start again from there, the midi start working again! (Of course it's not an audio problem with my mixer) Any ideas ? Thanks a lot Guy St-Pierre
