Hey George, I love your Great Logic videos and trainings! Well, you asked for topics so here you go. I probably went overboard with this, but it would be neat to see you mix 24 or more tracks down to a stereo file step by step. Bringing stuff forward and back in a mix takes a lot of skill. That would be neat to learn! I want to learn about stereo imaging in Logic. Could you show us some panning tricks? I would like to see some good settings that you would use for compression, reverb, delays and chorus. There are not too many suggestions in the manual or default settings and I have not customized any settings that I like yet because I just don't know how. I want to learn how to make dull brighter and bright more mellow. That is EQ I guess? I want to learn about EQ techniques. Also, could you show a run with your UAD-1 card? What is involved and how do you get to the point that you know what you are doing with tracks and plugs? Could you show us how to deal with CPU overloads? Maybe you could pretend that you are overloading your computer with a bunch of tracks with plugs and show us how to lighten the load with Freezing or any of your other tricks? It would be nice to see how you get so much speed too! Your stuff is so snappy and never sluggish. This would help me improve my speed. That is important because people lose their creative energies if they are waiting on the engineer between takes. I know this from experience. Or should I say, my inexperience. But, this is so much fun that I cannot complain! Could you show us how to import stuff from another program (Nuendo, PT, or DP, etc.) into Logic and vice-versa? That would be practical for guys wanting to do this for a living so that they are compatible with their local and maybe not so local studios and friends. Along these lines, could you talk a bit about stems? I hear that term with sending stuff to a Mastering House. What should we know about that stuff? Should we know stuff about Mastering so that we get the most bang for our bucks? I would like to see how you would layer sounds too. It would be useful not only in Logic but also for a sampler within Logic. I guess that would include a discussion on envelopes, filters and stuff. Also, could you use Melodyne on some vocals or something in Logic with the Melodyne Bridge? That would be jaw-dropping cool! That deal about the song that won a Juno sounds amazing!!! I am so excited George! You are great!!! Your friend, David E. Wood davidandmary1@...
