In a last effort to see if reconfiguring my current machine might help before plunking down for a new one, I've reinstalled Logic on a different drive, using Panther. In the past I've installed SampleTank and Absynth several times, and have never had a problem doing so. This time, for some reason, Logic doesn't find Absynth as a pluggin, and SampleTank, while it's there and is seeing the notes I play, doesn't find the sampled sounds in its browser. I tried every thing I could think of, up to the point of it being so late last night that I finally gave up. It's got to be something simple, because I've never had this particular problem before. Any suggestions appreciated. James
