Subject: Can multiple tracks be assigned to a single audio instrument?
Message #165834
I have some soft synths in my Mac Logic 6.4 setup. One I really like is called Artist Drums which, like just about every other drum synth, gives you the option of complete kits. Here's what I'd like to do: Create one audio instrument track with a complete Artist Drums kit loaded. Have multiple tracks (one for kick, one for snare, etc) which control this audio instrument. This way, I don't have to keep loading multiple instances of the same audio instrument, thereby saving memory and load time. I don't see this dealt with in the manual. Is it as complicated as going into the MIDI environment and moving those mysterious patch cables around? Or maybe that's easy? Thanks for any insight! - Mike Greene
