Hi Craig, > I read this e-mail and thought WOW .... does Digi 001 output 8 > channels of > digital audio through light pipe! Am I understanding this properly? Yes, it does. That's what "litepipe" is; eight channels of digital audio in the proprietary ADAT format all traveling through one cable. And of course these 8 ins and outs are all addressable from within logic. There are actually 18 ins and outs if you also include the spdif stereo I/O on the unit. If you have the 16 or more ins and outs enabled in your audio hardware and drivers prefernce, you will see all 18 ins and outs appear in the relevant flip menus in logic. The only way to address these litepipe channels is either A. through a digital to analogue converter box (like the Alesis A13) B. through a digital mixing board that supports litepipe protocol. C. through an actual old ADAT deck. -------- Eli Krantzberg http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com Almat Productions
