actually, you haven't at all mentioned which analog or digital i/o you
need, which sample rates you work at, and how many channels you need.
external ad or da and superior clocking often helps the whole system,
and i use that in mine with some nice benchmark gear. numerous
converter manufacturers like apogee, benchmark, mytek, lavry, and
pacific microsonics make great kit worth consideration that can be used
in conjunction with other manufacturers interfaces. i have a motu hd192
that works very well and would be fine by itself, but works even better
when used with the benchmark. the external clock seems to tighten
things up. i like the motu system since i also have a 308 and the extra
digital i/o in it is very helpful. others here may have experience with
other interfaces and could make more recommendations based on your
needs.
