I don't think this is true. I can run a click track out and back in and they line up sample accurately. I don't see how if the click lines up in you can say the recording is not compensated? Without the method the click comes back by the easily reproducable converter latency amount. I would assume it's natural to turn off that sample delay on the Master Bus for editing and anything other than recording, I'll have to think and experiment some more.
