You can get a digital to analog converter box (sometimes called an
"expander") to turn your eight litepipe channels into an
additional
eight analog channels. The Alesis A13 expander does this. You would
then have sixteen analog ins and outs from your 001.

Yes in OS 9. No in OS X. But I would personally go the expander route
before buying a second audio interface. Your logic session will be
easier to manage. You won't have to deal with multiple audio engines,
multiple mixer environments, etc.
