Subject: Better Bouncing
Message #165735
This is a reply to #165265.
hello, my entire studio is now on my mac. i'm getting ready to complete a new project. i'm noticing a significant decrease in sound quality after bouncing a song to a single stereo track. the same song sounds much crisper and tighter when played inside logic (as compared to the bounced version). my tracks are set at 24/48. a few questions: is this the fault of logic or my audio card? i remember a post similar to this a while ago and some external hardware was suggested. are there any alternatives to bouncing without using external gear? how do the pros handle this situation? i love the convenience of bouncing, but do not want to sacrifice audio quality. i'm running logic 6.3.4 with an m-audio delta-66 card on a G4 (1gig ram, DP1.24, OSX 10.2.6). thanks in advance, jon z. ..............................................
