Subject: Accelerate/Decelerate Audio on a Mac?
Message #164396
I have a DOS app (accel.exe, I'm sure some of you have used it before) that would accelerate (hence the name) or decelerate an audio track across time; I used this to simulate the sound of an analog tape machine being put into play from dead stop, or to slow down the audio as if the plug was pulled during playback. It's all command line so it takes some trial-and-error to get the settings right, but it works perfectly for its intent. Now that I'm on the Mac I cannot seem to find an equivalent applet (or plugin) to accomplish the same task. I can move my audio track(s) back to the PC, mod them and then bring them back into Logic but that's a bit of a pain. Any leads on how to accomplish this in Logic Pro, either with an AudioUnit plug or a standalone applet? Thanks!
