Subject: PCI424 Mac OS X Driver Problem with Logic
Message #164345
Hello people Apologies for the cross-posting, but I¹m not sure which of you is the better group to try! I¹ve just finally received my long-awaiting PCI424-G5 card and installed it (replacing the RME HDSP9652 I was borrowing), but am having a problem. I have two rigs: one Pro Tools, and one Logic. The Logic rig runs with the PCI424 and slaves to the Pro Tools rig via MIDI Clock or MTC. Everything was working fine until I installed the PCI424 and its drivers, and now Logic runs late compared with Pro Tools as though there is a delay on the output of Logic. It was fine when I was using the RME card, and is still fine if I use the Built-In audio but if I use the PCI424, the timing is all shot! I have tried all manner of Audio Driver settings and Sync settings, but can find nothing that even gets it close. It is as though the PCI424 driver does not report its latency to Logic properly, for Logic to then compensate for it. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Mac OS X 10.3.4 Logic Pro 6.4.2 PCI424 Driver 1.06 Many thanks, -- The best of times to you all... Pants
