You don't mentioned what OS you're using... if you're on OS X try Get Info on the wav files and make sure your permissions are set correctly. Also check the file's association -- I noticed that Logic will allow me to import AIFF files that are currently set to open with either BiasPeak or Logic, but not others - I have to change the association first before Logic will allow me to use them.
