try a complete reinstall. OS 9 gets corrupted over time and more than a
year is a blessing for it to keep working. you should also run
DiskWarrior on all your drives first or if you are too busy re-install.
The large file you see is the pre-allocated audio file that logic makes
before recording, since Logic crashed you end up seeing the file. The
same thing happens in ProTools under certain circumstances so don't
worry about it, just delete it.
