What I was shocked to discover is that my > CPU almost gave up before the cards did - is that normal? By the way, I just finished a little more experimentation - it turns out that the Tubifex plug in on the Powercore was partially the culprit. I guess it's just a bit new and rough around the edges? Now, the PoCo maxed out (without any Tubifex instances) pushes my CPU meters to about 45% - 50%. Still not what I would consider a miraculous savings in CPU while using a dedicated DSP card. As for the UAD, I learned that CPU usage jumped dramatically as I pushed the card past it's 60% mark. So, if I had 60% of the UAD card used, my CPU meters were around 35% - 40%. But if I opened one more plug in and pushed the UAD to 70% or 75%, the CPU meters spiked into the 90% range. I guess the UAD card doesn't like to be pushed to hard. Just thought I would share my experience. I would love to hear other experiences and see if they are similar to mine.
