Subject: [GEN]Can't change source file in audio window.
Message #158261
Here's the scenario: I recorded a live performance on a firewire drive and brought it back to the studio to mix it. I tried playing the 20 tracks from the firewire drive but logic would lock up every time(OS 9) so I copied the tracks to the internal drive in the G4. I did some mixing and now I'm ready to troubleshoot the firewire drive issue. So I'd like to change where Logic looks for the files to the firewire drive without deleting the originals. The online help says to click the file and select "Update file information". This causes the waves logo to spin (got some waves plugs in the song) a couple times and that's it. No dialog box to select a new file like the help says. The only other option I think I have is to move the files another drive (where logic can't immediately find them and select the files one by one on the firewire drive when logic opens the song. The problem is that there's a lot of data here and space for it is at a premium right now. Any ideas? Warren
