I may be wrong but sounds as if Hammmerfall mixer & DSP isn't in your start-up folder. They need to be there so that they automatically open up when you log into your user account/boot up the computer. If you are running Panther it's in System Preferences/Accounts/Start up. If you haven't already done so, find Hammerfall DSP & Hammerfall Mixer on your HD and drag them into the start-up items box...check hide on both. In Jaguar I think it's under the Apple icon...
