Are you using the CueMix DSP Direct Monitoring (software that came with the PCI-424 card) ? If not, chances are much of your latency is due to routing the audio all the way into your software, then back out to the monitors. If you have audio outs on your 2408 connected up, you can get close to zero/digital mixer latency by using CueMix DSP for direct monitoring. If you need to get your signal into the software first, to monitor with effects, then you can reduce latency by reducing your audio buffer size - with the corresponding trade-offs in cpu hit, etc. I've only addressed latency on the Mac/2408 side. You will also have midi latency, and some audio latency in your giga machine. Reducing buffers in giga will help this .. Trond
