I found GB a bit limited but would like to use some of the sampled instruments with Logic. I'm not into hacking into workarounds, but if you are interested you can check out the "Bandtologic": software for mac os x (tm) bandtologic Converts GarageBand song data to Logic song files, thus allowing MIDI export.
