Hi all,
Emagic tech support is gone for a week so I hope someone on the list can
help
me.I purchased a new system a month ago.
PROBLEM:
Audio stutters/glitches to a crash when I cut a file into regions and/or use
the delay settings on these segments. Sometimes the audio upon hitting a new
region makes loud stuttering noises and then the program quits. Other times
it just locks and nothing (control/alt/delete) will fix it. OCCASIONALLY
CONTROL/ALT/DEL SHOWS THERE WAS AN INVALID PAGE FAULT IN MODULE 'UNKNOWN' AT
0000:02ae74c8
REGISTERS EAX>lb0100 etc, Etc.
It happens when either the Aark24 ASIO is selected or with my windows
soundcard - the Aureal Vortex.
It happens if the audio is on my external SCSI drive or on the IDE drive. I
have also tried loading the standard VGA driver but Logic still crashes when
it hits the new region.
No other symptoms. The system is fine and Sound Forge, etc.
What haven't I tried?
Logic Audio Platinum 4.11
Pentium III 600 - Windows 98 second edition
ABIT BE6-II Motherboard
128MB ram
ATI Rage 128 (All In Wonder) video card - graphics accel set 2 notches down
Adaptec 2940U2W SCSI Card - Seagate Cheetah
Maxtor U66 Internal IDE Drive
Aardvark Aark24 sound card
Aureal Vortex soundcard (windows)
One other problem I am having that Aardvark Corp. told me they are working
on
with you is that Logic does not recognize the sample rate of 48k when the
Aaark is slaved to ADAT sync. Therefore, unfortuneatly at this time I am
unable to do any digital lightpipe transfers into Logic. Any possibilities
this will be fixed soon?
Thanks in advance,
Bob McChesney
