Well, you can also (and probably should) use Apple's own Audio midi Setup
application (in your utilities folder). Under the "Audio Devices"
tab,
select the 9636 from the "Properties For" pop-up. Then, hit the
"Configure
Speakers" button, where you can specify which two mono outputs your
stereo
left/right will go out (you can optionally go 5.1 here instead). Once you've
selected which outputs you want (you can for example have a song playing I
itunes while you select and see on your PHYSICAL mixing board the outputs
changing). Hit Apple, then close the window.
Also note that you can still specify a different audio device for your
System output (or, System beep).
One of the big bummers about using the RME card for casual playback of music
is that, if you have an Apple Pro keyboard, THE VOLUME AND MUTE KEYS DO NOT
WORK!!!! (this SUCKS)
