Hi
Thanks for all your replys to my previous message. But I don't think I
explained the problem very well.
You see I can't seem to change Logic's working directory.
The FAQs say to change the "Start In:" property on the shortcut
used
to launch Logic.
Unfortunately, whatever I set the "Start In:" property to, Logic
ignores it.
I have tried setting it to C:, C:Program Files, servershare and
also to mapped network drives (for example).
However, Logic still opens the File Open / File Save window inside its
installation folder. This is fine by me, but some users are not
allowed access to local disks (set by group policy).
When windows denies access to the drive sometimes Logic will pause for
a while and then return you to an empty project. -As if you had just
created a new blank file. (this happens on 2% of cases). So I have a
few users who aren't very happy at loosing all their work. I've tryed
to suggest that the first thing they do with a new file is save it so
if it does crash its no big deal, but no one really seems to remember.
(!!)
Windows 2000 sp4
power users
access to local drives denied via group policy.
Also, this is the education version of 5.5.1.
Any assistance will be apprecaiated. Thanks in advance
regards
Kieran
