Subject: Re: [LUG] How to increase note length with Transformer?
Message #156190
This is a reply to #156170.
G'day Paul, Transformers in the Environment can't process note lengths. The Transform window can, but that's no good to you for live playing. The only way I can think of to fix your problem is this: Use a transformer to convert yr notes to another status. I usually use polyphonic aftertouch (rather than controllers) cos u can still see what the notes are if u happen to be using monitors. Use another transformer to separate the 'note-offs' (i.e. events with a value of 0) from the 'note-ons'. Put the 'note-offs' through a delay. "Thru Original" = Off, number of repeats = 1, delay time = something that makes yr note lengths more useful. Put 'note-ons' and newly-delayed 'note-offs' through another transformer that turns 'em back into notes. NB: the sequencer needs to be running for this to work. HTH.
