too expensive. probably wont give you as much tracks as with the G3/G4 and
much lesser Plugs, so you have to buy a G3/G4 accelerator card also.

a second bigger IDE drive like the 20Gig Barracuda

G4/350 with at least 128 Mb RAM.
But i wonder how you manage to buy a computer AND a working soundcard for
$1700 + your old 7600???
One idea i have is that you buy a IDE/U-DMA controller (1 PCI slot), one or
two 18Gig U-DMA drives, a 400Mhz G3 accelerator card, and some more RAM. For
backing up tracks you might buy a KORG 1212 card which is not expensive
nowadays. It depends on how you can sell your "old" machine.
