Alternatively, just hitting the esc. key twice should give you the arrow right back. I assume you are aware that you can assign a favourite tool to toggle with command? Open the toolbox, then hold command and select a tool. Then you have that tool available as you hold down command, no need to open the toolbox. I use this for velocity on the matrix page as that's the tool I use there 90% of the time. Your selection can be stored as one of the screenset parameters, so you can have say, velocity in matrix, marquee in arrange, text input in score etc. RJ
