Subject: Re: [GEN] Roland V Drums Recording quesiton?
Message #151142
Hi Joe, > I have to record with a Roland v drum set later this week, and I want to > input the set MIDI so i can separate the snare, kick, toms, etc.. Record it all on one track as the guy plays. Do all your tracking, editing, constructing composite takes, etc like this. Once the session is finished and the guy has left and your editing is complete (is it ever really complete?) then use the demix by note event feature under one of the local menus in either the arrange window or score editor. This will strip the part out into separate tracks for each midi note number (drum surface) that was triggered. You can them easily reassign these parts to other tracks/sounds by dragging. -- Eli Krantzberg Nightshift orchestra / Almat Productions http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com
