Is the additional hard drive one that was installed by Apple at the time of purchase? What brand of 3rd party ram did you install? Would it be possible to remove any and all hardware (ram, drives, pci cards etc.) that didn't ship with the computer and run a simple test with Logic simply using coreaudio? It sure *sounds* like some funky hardware compatibility issue. best, Jon
