Hi Roy,
You can set Logic to create a new track for each cycle in recording mode,
but only a track of the same channel.
To do the trick you are describing I'm using either external hardware
looping samplers like the Gibson Digital Echoplex or the Electrix Repeater.
I have also been doing it with the plug-in Lexicon PSP42, where layer
feedback can be controlled in real-time by external midi faders. However,
you can layer many voices with just about any delay plug-in set to a high
feedback rate. Keep Logic running with the track in recording mode and round
it up with bouncing the best bars to disk and importing it to the song.
Cycle recording with automatic track change of the same audi channel have
been possible all back since Logic 2, when I started using the software. To
set this up go to "File/Song Settings/Recording Options". Make
sure "Auto
Mote in Cycle Record" is not selected and select "Auto Create
Tracks in
Cycle Record".
Then go to "Logic Platinum/Preferances/
