My issue fits the subject header in general, though it is slightly different
from the
actual content of the above message. I don't want to start a new thread, but
I think
my issue might be close enough to this to "fit in."
I have a problem with hanging notes when simply playing some sequences in
the
arrange editor. Not even editing anything. Generally I believe it occurs
when cycling is
on, though I'm not sure that I haven't seen it without. Literally I can have
a sequence
playing, cycling, it'll go through 3 times correctly, and then during the
fourth time it'll
hang a note which will remain hung until I execute a notes-off midi reset.
If I don't do
so, it likely will pick up other notes as it goes along, and there will be a
chorus of
suspended notes before long. Makes me think a little of "I am sitting
in a room..."; but
alas, that's not what I'm after!
I'm using an Alesis QSR, Mac G3 (b&w), OS 10.2.6. I basically let the
Setup Assistant
set me up, as I am new to Logic.
Would you suggest that this indicates a misconfiguration in my Environment?
Something wrong with my actual midi data (e.g. sloppiness in note start/end
vis a vis
time sequence parameters)? I would appreciate any indication of where to
look for
what's causing this and how to solve it. Thanks.
