At least 3 people here, including myself, have outlined what you need to do to best use your SR-16 with downloaded General Midi drum tracks. Read the Logic manual: Environment section, "Mapped Instrument". Or try a search for "mapped" in the Logic 5 online help. Or even just have a play with selecting all the snare notes in the GM sequence in the Matrix editor, and moving those up/down until all the snare notes are on the note the SR-16 needs to play a snare sound.
