hello all...
first off, this may be a bit off center, as im not sure it is 100% logic
related. if need be, feel free to email me off the list.
last nite, i was working on a song. i went to bed, didnt shut anything down,
just left it up to work on this morning when i got up. when i got up this
morning, i had a strange loss of sound in everything EXCEPT logic. my
windows media player, winamp, acid, sound forge, etc, nothing puts out any
sound. i can try to play a loop in sound forge and nothing, however if i
import it as an audio file to logic it plays fine.
ive gotten some strange error messages as well, and even gotten a few
"error
syncing midi" messages from logic too, but when i would close and
reopen it
would be fine (in logic).
i scanned for viruses, re-assigned the outs on my soundcard to make sure
they were correct, etc.
im quite nervous about this, to be honest. my OS consists of winXP, 1.6ghz
chip, 512 megs of ram and an echo mia soundcard. i just purchased this
machine about 6 months ago for the specific purpose of running audio only
apps.
any help would be enormously appreciated. its getting to the point where i
am scared i may have to format or something drastic like that.
thank you...
