The situation is that the rocketpower code has to be incorporated into
the sequencer. Since Logic has had major changes in the sequencer engine
this had to be re-done. It would have been simpler to go ahead and leave
the level of rocket features the same as it was in 4.8. but a lot more
is possible now [if you have used rocketpower with ProTools, you'll know
what I mean.] Emagic is a small company with limited human resources,
and they have been concentrating on getting the core app right. They can
now make sure rocket implementation is as good as it can be, so,
hopefully we'll see something from that soon.

Rocketpower was designed to be cross-compatible, but it was up to the
individual sequencer apps to support this. Lets just say, Emagic has
*not* been the one to pull a 'microsoft' in this case. [referring to
MS's non-standard implementation of html as a comparison]

You can still get support by email from support@... . The
online support was initially funded by rocketnetwork, but was up to
Studio Center owners to decide whether they wanted it to continue , or
not. [bear in mind it was fairly costly to maintain]
It pays to get to know a few of the regulars on the rocket servers, as
they have a lot of knowlege, and quite a few of them run more than one
sequencer app. They just use whichever app they need for their current
collaborations. [i.e. a few of the cubase users you see are actually
primarily logic-users]
If anyone has any general questions they would like further
clarification on, that don't specifically fall under the
tech-support/trouble-shooting umbrella, they can try posting a query on
this list or the OT list [depending whether it is Logic-related], or on
the 'Logic Transients' sub-forum of the Logic Forums at
http://community.sonikmatter.com/cgi-bin/emagic/ultimatebb.cgi
There are a few users at both places who have a fairly deep knowlege of
rocket stuff.
