I'm trying to get korg to either supply me with the 'Classic' driver source code or at least a detailed spec sheet for the 1212 with the hope of writing an OSx driver for it. I downloaded a load of Core Audio information and it looks like it wouldn't be too difficult... How many users on this list use a 1212 on a Mac and would be interested? e- mail back to the list and we can get a head count (Kid- maybe a little poll is in order, as evidence to send to Korg). I will post this to the Logic group and if anyone is a member of the DP group could they forward it so we can get a 'total number of Mac/1212 users' I think Korg may need 'pushing' a bit so if there are a bunch of us expressing interest it may help our cause. Does anyone in this group have coding experience, I don't, I was going to read a couple of books, look at the stuff Apple sent and try and join the dots... if someone has the knowledge already feel free to e-mail me (OSxDriver@...) and maybe we could work together on this one. It seems a shame to chuck out a perfectly good soundcard... also once we've written one, hopefully it'll be easy to do others... just by putting in the other soundcard's details (obviously ones with onboard mixers and effects will be probably beyond our brain power!!). So who knows, we may be able to sort out the lack of drivers ourselves (and maybe get new jobs as propellerheads!!) Cheers, Joe.
