Apple is, at the very least, gutting the Windows side of Emagic, so it is an apt comparison in some respects. There is no reason why Apple couldn't continue to support Logic on Windows (Microsoft supports Office on the Mac, after all), except of course, because they want people to use Macs. Personally, I don't see many Windows users switching to Macs just to use Logic, but maybe I'm wrong. As a one time Studio Vision user who switched to LAP, I am now in the position of again having to switch to a new sequencer again. I bought Logic because it was cross-platform, and I could use it with my laptop, and my Mac. This is bad for everyone who uses a computer to make music, as now there are fewer choices, and less competition. If anyone is interested, I have a copy of LAMP with EXS24 and ES1, as well as a copy of LAWS for sale. Best offer takes it. Please reply directly. Jonathan jon@...
