Hi,
the decision to cease sales of Emagic's products for Windows doesn't really
coincide with Apple's politics (apart from being short-sightened):
"Apple
Works" was just released for the windows platform. Besides, with
Emagic's
products Apple Computer would have a foot inside the PC software market,
and that is not so bad either.
If only R&D for Windows software wasn't too expensive. In that case,
Emagic
would cease development of PC releases because Apple fireds their R&D
staff. Which in turn would release these people to work for Steinberg or
anybody else for the PC platform.
So in either perspective, to stop developing for the PC platform doesn't
make
sense. I wonder if this group is a guinea-pig to find out precisely that...
Cheer up, PC users, I don't think it's over yet.
